The Circle Pilates Teacher Training Program prepares students to teach the original, classical, method of Pilates exactly as it was created by Joseph Pilates himself. Program director Shareen Woodford is a second generation teacher, having learned the method in its entirety from Jay Grimes, a first generation teacher who learned directly from Joseph Pilates. Graduates of the 600 hour full comprehensive program will become third generation classical Pilates teachers, with direct lineage from Joseph Pilates.
This course takes place in person in our midtown Toronto Pilates studio full of dynamic, vibrant and supportive teachers with loyal, fun and hardworking clients and is fully equipped with Classical equipment from Contrology, Legacy Apparatus, and Gratz.
This course is suitable for those with a strong existing Pilates practice. You may be taking this course because you wish to start a new and rewarding full time or part time career as a Pilates teacher, you may simply be passionate about going deeper into the Pilates method for your own knowledge, or you may have a previous contemporary Pilates certification and would now like to learn the Classical method. Those interested in applying should do everything possible to become very familiar with the method in their own body before the beginning of the course. This course is appropriate for highly motivated, self-directed people with strong communication skills who are excited to learn more and be committed to representing the Classical Pilates method in a professional manner.
